As part of our compassion effort, Resilience High Point will be hosting a screening and discussion for a movie called ‘Breaking the Cycle’. It is part of the ‘Better Together’ film festival. The movie is about two people with different political ideologies who bike across America to secure more funding to address homelessness. The movie chronicles the people experiencing homeless and those working to address homelessness as they meet traveling across the country.
The movie is particularly relevant given the long-discussed day center in High Point, the closure of shelters, and pending state legislation concerning the banning of homeless sleeping in public spaces.
The screening is on Thursday, July 30th, at 6:30pm at Centennial Station.
