Fall Harvest in the Historical Park
Food preservation like salting and smoking meats and pickling were necessary for backcountry North Carolinians. Successful summer and fall harvests can mean comfort during the long winter months. Come help our costumed interpreters preserve our fall bounty for the cold winter ahead. FREE. All ages welcome. Drop-in.

Ghost Stories in the Historical Park
Join us for our 14th Annual Ghost Stories in the Park with snacks, crafts and pumpkin decorating from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Professional storyteller, Donna Washington will tell spooky, but not too scary tales for the young and old from 6:30 to 7:20 p.m. Free. All ages welcome.

Board Games in the Historical Park
Come join our costumed interpreters for a fun day of board games in the park. Bring a blanket or find a seat at our picnic tables for a simple game of cards, 9 Men’s Morris, and more. Don’t worry, our costumed interpreters will tell you the rules. FREE. All ages welcome. Drop-in.

Let’s Craft! Clay Candy Dish in Little Red Schoolhouse
Where do you put your left-over candy from Trick or Treating? Maybe it can be in the candy dish you make in Little Red Schoolhouse! We’ll bring the clay, and you’ll bring your imagination to make your clay candy dish! **Painting your candy dish not included** Our Sensory Friendly environment (dim lights, calm room, limited people) will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Free. Drop in. All ages welcome.

Día de los Muertos
Join the High Point Museum and the YWCA Latino Family Center for a hybrid learning experience and celebration about the Day of the Dead, a Latin American holiday originating in Mexico. An altar exhibit will be on display from October 21 to November 1. Enjoy family entertainment and crafts while learning about the holiday celebrated in honor of the loved ones no longer with us.

GCSO Thanksgiving Food Drive
Description: The Guilford County Sheriff's Office is organizing a Thanksgiving community food drive this year on November 22nd! Food boxes for families will be distributed at 400 W Washington St, Greensboro, NC 27401, in Greensboro, and at 507 E Green Dr, High Point, NC 27260, in the parking lot, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Donations from the community are accepted and include canned foods, stuffing mix, canned vegetables, instant potatoes, cranberry sauce, and any other canned or dry goods. These can be dropped off at Districts 1, 2, and 3 of the GCSO or at the Detention Centers in Greensboro and High Point between November 1st and 19th.
Bonus: A mini resource fair will be held at the Greensboro handout point!

With family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and festive holiday cheer, this event offers food and non-food vendors alike the perfect opportunity to showcase their products and engage with a diverse audience.
