Alcoholics' Home, Inc. (House of Prayer)

House of Prayer Inc. is a residential treatment center for adult males struggling with alcoholism. This faith-based center not only provides a spiritual treatment community, but they also have a partnership with a local thrift store that is open to the public. A fee of $1,000 is required for residents with an income and $500 for residents without an income in order to participate in the program. All potential participants will have to undergo an interview process and must have a valid Social Security number and photo ID.

New Life Family Outreach - Support Groups

The support groups help women who experienced the loss of baby and men and women who have survived sexual abuse find hope and healing. The Adult Mediation Services provides adults experiencing legal conflicts the opportunity to talk about disagreements and consider methods for resolving conflicts. Any adult who has filed charges on another party or who had charges filed on them for a mediation-appropriate offense is served through Adult Mediation Services when the District Attorney refers the case to the program. It requires a $60 court-ordered mediation fee, a $40 administration fee for one or two charges, and $20 for each criminal case when there are 3+ cases.

The Guilford County Teen Court helps youth offenders ages 6-17 whose behavior consists of a misdemeanor violation of the law for Class I, II or III , and who are actively enrolled in an educational program. Through their participation in the program, they will develop an understanding of consequences for negative actions and learn about self and community accountability. Referral to participate in the program provides youth offenders with the opportunity to have their charge dismissed and not acquire a juvenile criminal record.
