Alcoholics' Home, Inc. (House of Prayer)

House of Prayer Inc. is a residential treatment center for adult males struggling with alcoholism. This faith-based center not only provides a spiritual treatment community, but they also have a partnership with a local thrift store that is open to the public. A fee of $1,000 is required for residents with an income and $500 for residents without an income in order to participate in the program. All potential participants will have to undergo an interview process and must have a valid Social Security number and photo ID.

Guilford Community Care Network - Adult Dental Access Program

The Adult Dental Access Program works to provide dental services to uninsured residents in Guilford County. Services are limited to comprehensive examinations, extractions, fillings, pain management and some minor restorative care. In order to qualify for services, patients will be referred by Guilford Community Care Network (GCCN) Safety Net Organizations that already provide medical care to residents with incomes between 0% and 200% of the federal poverty level. Guilford Dental will rely on the eligibility screening services of the GCCN.

Guilford County Department of Public Health - Dental Care Services

Dental care services are offered to children up to the age of 21 who are enrolled in Medicaid or NC Health Choice, pregnant women with a Medicaid card, and children who applied for Medicare/ NC Health Choice and were declined (parents must be able to pay a reduced fee). Dental Clinic staff provide services such as exams, cleanings, treatments, and emergency care for children that meet the financial eligibility requirements. Limited orthodontic services are available only to patients with Medicaid.

Refugee health services are available for individuals with refugee, asylee, or parolee status who have relocated to the United States and currently live in Guilford County. Amerasian, Cuban/Haitian, and victims of severe forms of trafficking also qualify for services. Refugee children (birth to 20 years old) will receive an initial assessment, but will then be referred to health care providers in the community to establish a permanent medical home.

The Foster Care program offers therapeutic and foster care for children who are unable to live with their own family. To be a foster parent, you must be at least 21 years old and financially stable, pass criminal background check, physical exam, possess the ability to work with children, and the ability to provide safe environment.

YWCA - Adolescent Parenting

The Adolescent Parenting program strives to positively impact the lives of young school-aged mothers and fathers who are pregnant or parents. The program includes group sessions, home visits, mentors, school support sessions, college tours, field trips, and mother-daughter retreats. Access is also provided to the Baby Basics Closet, Ready to Ride (car seats), and Women's Resource Center.

YWCA - Healthy Beginnings

The Healthy Beginnings program helps young minority women (20-30 years old) have healthy pregnancies and lifestyles.  The program serves High Point, Archdale, Trinity, and Jamestown. The program provides individualized support, peer support groups, and home visitation. Participants also have access to the YWCA's aquatic and wellness programs.
